Huvafen Fushi supports local communities by sourcing products from local island suppliers wherever possible – including seafood and fresh produce. Younger community members are invited to participate in the Dream Journey apprenticeship programme, providing hands-on work experience in various departments throughout the resort to build their knowledge of the hospitality industry and support their studies.

The Maldives is a year round destination, with two main seasons. November to April is typically hot and dry with temperatures reaching low to mid 30s (degrees Celsius). May to October can bring rain showers, followed by sunshine and slightly cooler temperatures around the mid to high 20s.

Huvafen Fushi enjoys a warm climate throughout the year. The island’s laid-back, luxury style invites light, loose-fitting clothing. Carefree cotton and linen fabrics. Shorts, Kaftans, sandals and swimwear are staples.

For those carefree days lounging poolside and basking in the breeze, we recommend a good book and a curated playlist. The sun is strong in the Maldives, so a hat, sunglasses and high SPF sunscreen are essential.

In the evenings at our dining venues, smart-casual attire is preferred. Given the sandy walking paths on our idyllic island, high-heeled shoes are not necessary.
