Privacy is paramount at Huvafen Fushi. Guests interested in booking a day visit can do so by pre-booking a full night’s stay with our reservations team via [email protected]

Gratuities are at guests’ complete discretion.

An expansive menu is available in all rooms so you can enjoy the sumptuous delights prepared by our chefs in the privacy and laidback ambience of your bungalow.

For guests’ convenience, all purchases at the resort can be easily signed to their room account with a renewable credit limit of USD 5,000, extended to all rooms. Payments can be made in cash, credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Union Pay, JCB).

A mandatory government service tax (GST) of 16% and a 10% resort service charge will be applied to all bills.

The island’s laidback, luxury style invites light, loose-fitting clothing. Light cotton and linen fabrics. Shorts, Kaftans, sandals and swimwear are staples.

For all those carefree days lounging poolside and basking in the breeze, we recommend a good book and a curated playlist. The Maldives sun is strong, so a hat, sunglasses and high-SPF sunscreen are essential.

At our dining venues in the evenings, you are best served wearing smart casual attire. Due to the region’s environment, suitable footwear is also recommended.

FACILITIES

A patch of paradise for young explorers. Guests of all ages are welcome. Children can enjoy our parental-supervised kids’ corner located beside the main pool, featuring a dedicated fun space for those under 10 years old. A hangout zone for teenagers is also available, with table games, video-game consoles and a pool table.

Electricity is supplied at 220 to 240 volts. Adaptors are available on request.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is accessible across the island at all times.

Laundry bags are provided in all guest rooms for those who wish to use our convenient pick-up and drop-off laundry service. Dry cleaning is also not available on the island — however, garments can be sent to Malé for dry cleaning upon request.

A resident doctor is available at the resort clinic during scheduled opening hours and is on call 24/7. In case of emergency, the main hospitals at Malé can be reached via a 30-minute speedboat ride. For diving emergencies, decompression chambers can be reached in approximately 45 minutes by speedboat.

Plunge beneath the surface. A world teeming with colour awaits. Swim straight from the beach to Huvafen Fushi’s own house reef, which rings the island around 25 metres from shore. Book a guided house reef snorkelling trip with the friendly FLOAT team, or take a complimentary snorkel set and explore on your own. Dive deeper into the magical underwater realm with variety of PADI certified dives and courses.

Unsurpassed service. A personal touch. Your own Thakuru personal assistant will welcome you the moment you arrive, and is never more than a phone call away. From planning activities to spa and dinner reservations, your every wish and desire will be brought to life.

LOCATION

Huvafen Fushi is located in a compact and utterly discreet location. It measures approximately 350 meters by 150 meters and can be circumvented on foot in 10 to 15 minutes. The overwater jetty extends 500 meters out over the ocean to the furthest pavilion.

Conveniently located in the North Male atoll and a mere 26km from Velana International Airport, Huvafen Fushi can be reached in 30 minutes by speedboat. Upon arrival to the Maldives from your international flight, our airport team will meet you at the arrivals hall and escort you to our private airport lounge to prepare you for departure. Transfers are on a shared basis combined with other guests arriving at similar times. Private transfer upgrades are available upon advanced request.

Huvafen Fushi is five hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT +5).

The Maldives is a year-round destination, with two main seasons. November to April is typically hot and dry with temperatures reaching low to mid 30s (degrees Celsius). May to October can bring rain showers, followed by sunshine and slightly cooler temperatures around the mid to high 20s.

OTHERS

While the local currency in the Maldives is the Maldivian Rufiyaa, Huvafen Fushi trades in US dollars (USD). Billings are issued in USD, but most other foreign currencies may be exchanged at the resort.

In respect of guests’ privacy, drones are strictly prohibited for use in any area of the resort.

Guests are asked to refrain from smoking in the bungalows, bars, restaurants and other facilities. Ashtrays are provided in outdoor spaces and on the bungalow terraces.

Huvafen Fushi strives to reduce its environmental footprint through ethically-oriented practices. This includes a reef-restoration project with the marine biology team at OCEANPEDIA. Methods like frames, ropes, lines and nubbins (a single coral fragment) are used to boost the health of the house reef and propagate further growth.

Water is desalinated, treated and bottled in reusable glass bottles. No plastic bottles are imported, and paper straws have long-since replaced plastic. Green refuse such as fallen palm fronds and dead leaves are composed and used to nourish the island’s lush vegetation. Gardens are irrigated with the island’s treated water, and solar power is harnessed to provide hot water in guest rooms. All waste is managed, segregated and recycled where possible.

Huvafen Fushi supports local communities by sourcing products from local island suppliers wherever possible – including seafood and fresh produce. Younger community members are invited to participate in the Dream Journey apprenticeship programme, providing hands-on work experience in various departments throughout the resort to build their knowledge of the hospitality industry and support their studies.

The official languages in the Maldives are Dhivehi and English. Multi-lingual staff are available at the resort. To enquire about languages spoken at Huvafen Fushi, please contact our Dream Maker Concierge.

Guests are encouraged to travel with a comprehensive travel insurance policy to guard against unexpected situations that could happen at any time, wherever they are in the world. Absolute peace of mind.
